Conference Runner-Up for the Zeeland West Dux! The match against Mona Shores had heavy hitters. Isabel (8 kills), Veah (5 kills), Abby (9 kills), and Sydney (4 kills) led the team. Kendall, Anna, and Alexa led the team in digs and passing. Ella had 22 assists. Bel and Vaeh each had 5 blocks! The Dux have their last home event tomorrow at 5 PM. GO DUX!!

ROUND 2 CHAMPS! Zeeland West Volleyball defeats Zeeland East 3-0 in the second round of the Conference Tournament. Setter Ella Gruppen had 24 assists. Middles Isabel Assink and Veah Bakker had 13 and 6 kills respectively. Abby Nash came FLYING in for 5 kills. Sydney and Alexa led their team from the outside well! Anna Loeprich was a passing ANIMAL! Libero Kendall Ruster was everywhere and even had an assist. The Dux play for the championship next Tuesday. GO DUX!!

DUX VOLLEYBALL WIN!! Zeeland West defeated Reeths-Puffer volleyball last night in four. Senior Ella Gruppen is back with 25 assists. Isabel Assink, Nevaeh Bakker, and Abby Nash had 10, 8, and 9 kills respectively in spectacular fashion. Serving from the entire team was impressive with 13 aces! Kendall Ruster leads her defensive squad to victory once again. Dux ended up 6-1 in the conference and start the conference tourney next week! GO DUX!!

Another volleyball win for the Zeeland West Dux! 3-0 against Muskegon making them 5-0 in the conference! Highlights include setters Isabel Assink and Nevaeh Bakker with 11 and 9 assists respectively. There were 21 aces between Isabel, Abby, Vaeh, Sydney, Kendall, and Amaya! The Dux are headed North to take on Mona Shores this Thursday at 6 PM. GO DUX!!

HUGE WIN FOR THE DUX!! ZW volleyball conquered ZE in five sets for another conference win! Abby Nash with 10 kills and game winning aces! Ella Gruppen with 41 assists! Isabel Assink with 11 kills and 4 blocks! Nevaeh Bakker with 10 kills and 6 blocks! Alexa Brott with 9 kills from the outside! Kendall Ruster serve received at 74%!!! Anna Loeprich had a well rounded game! She serve received at 73%, assisted blocking, had an ace, AND had five kills to help ZW to the 5 set win!!!! Happy day for the Volleyballing DUX!

WINs across the board for the Volleyball Dux at GR Union! Our squad showed up to play with 21 aces and 24 kills in our three matches. Notable performances are Abby Nash with 6 aces, Ella Gruppen with 8 aces and 15 assists, and Vaeh Bakker with 10 kills and a big block! Come out and support us at Zeeland East on tomorrow at 6 pm!!

Zeeland West Volleyball is back for the 2023 season! Contests last night were against Caledonia (0-2) and Otsego High Schools (0-2). Abby Nash (5) came out swinging with TWELVE kills in four sets! Setter Ella Gruppen (7) had 32 assists and led middles Isabel Assink (9) and Nevaeh Bakker (13) to 7 and 12 kills respectively. Both had a few monster blocks! Outside stars for the night included Alexa Brott (11), Sydney Bergsma (4), Maddie Hildebrand (10), and sophomore Amaya Brott (12). Our DS squad this year includes Anna Loeprich (8) and sophomore Ava Lemire (2). They are led by Libero Kendall Ruster (3). Come out and support our Volleyballing Dux next week on September 7th in our Home gym!! GO DUX!
