Both the Zeeland West Dux and the Union Red Hawks  had their offenses going on Thursday, but Zeeland West eventually prevailed 14-6. Zeeland West tallied six runs in the sixth inning.  The offensive onslaught came from singles by Kole Meeuwsen and Brendan Gabrion, a triple by Carter Hughes, and a double by Agar. Zach Schwartz was credited with the victory for the Dux varsity baseball team. The ace surrendered two runs on four hits over five innings, striking out seven and walking one. Zeeland West tallied nine hits on the night. Simon Moore and Josh Agar each had multiple hits for Zeeland West.  Agar and Moore each managed two hits to lead the Dux.  Zeeland West tore up the base paths, as four players stole at least two bases. Moore led the way with four. The Dux are now 11-13 (7-7 OK Green). The win tonight was the 200th career win for head coach, Adam Locker. 144 of the 200 wins have come as the head coach at Zeeland West. Up next, the Dux will face Wyoming for the final time this season on Friday. The first pitch is set for 4:15p.

The Zeeland West Dux varsity baseball team took Friday's game in dramatic fashion, with  a 12-11 walk-off victory over the Calvin Christian Squires. The game was tied at 11 with Zeeland West batting in the bottom of the eighth when Pierce Walker singled on a 1-1 count, scoring the winning run. "I am so proud of how the boys continued to battle when things weren't going their way," said 8th year head coach, Adam Locker, after the game, "They are a great group of guys and this was a great win for us over a great Calvin Christian team." Zeeland West built a five-run lead in the fourth inning and then held off Calvin Christian's charge. In the bottom of the seventh inning, the Dux tied things up at 11 when Josh Agar singled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs. Zeeland West's other big inning was when they scored six runs in the third inning.  The offensive onslaught by Zeeland West Dux Varsity was led by Joe Ruch, Agar, Simon Moore, and Kole Meeuwsen, all driving in runs in the frame. Zach Schwartz took the win for Zeeland West, the first of his career. The bulldog went two and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out four and walking one. Simon Moore started the game for Zeeland West. The ace lasted five and a third innings, allowing 12 hits and 11 runs while striking out six and walking one. Zeeland West Dux Varsity tallied 15 hits in the game.  Moore, Agar, Deklen Klamt, and Ruch each managed multiple hits for Zeeland West Dux Varsity.  Agar and Moore each collected three hits to lead Zeeland West offensive attack. The Dux are now 5-0 (3-0 OK Green) on the young season. They will have the weekend off and their next game will be against OK Green Conference foe, Mona Shores on Tuesday, April 19 with the first pitch set for 4:00p.

The Zeeland West varsity baseball team got off to a hot start in their season opener defeating Allendate 10-0. Josh Agar took the win on the mound for the Dux. Agar surrendered zero runs on one hit over four innings, striking out ten and walking zero.  Moore threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Cade Overway went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Dux in hits.  Josh Agar and Kole Meeuwsen had one hit each to round out the Zeeland West hitting attack.
