Both the boys and girls bowled extremely well in a extremely tough group of teams. The boys started out the day shooting some of their best single games of the season (1054 and 1105). The boys started slow in Bakers but got it back together and qualified 2nd out of the 12 teams to make the semi-finals. They bowled a very talented Caledonia team and had a 3 pin lead going into the second Baker game. Caledonia got hot and a little lucky stringing a group of strikes together and held on to beat the boys 223-200. Kyle Lambright was 2nd on the All Tournament team with games of 235, 248, 214 for a 697. Other high scores were rolled by Grant Bush 254, 214. Zach Baum 226, Isaiah Reyes 225,211,201.
The girls started strong as well shooting 868, 855 and then really got it going in the 3rd shooting 946. They continued to bowl really well in the Baker games beating each team that they bowled. The girls qualified first and bowled conference rival Unity Christian. Unity came out and shot a nice 189 baker game and took a 10 pin lead. Unity gave us a shot to get back in the match but too many missed spares would not let the girls get over the 10 pin deficit. Unity took the match by 7 pins. Still a great showing by the Zeeland Girls. Morgan Smith was number one on the All tournament team with a 659 series and a career high 268 game. Skylar Beverwyk was 3rd on the All tournament team. High games rolled by Morgan Smith 268,211, Skylar Beverwyk 225, 204 and Alyssa Fortney 200.
