Girls 7/8 Creekside Basketball vs. Cityside Middle School

The 7th grade basketball team defeated cross-town rival Cityside by a score of 41-23. Leading scorers for the Dux were Rylee Smith, Kendyl Chupailo, Kayla Wyrick, Emily Overway, Desi Kuyers, Alexa Brott, Isabel Assink, and Ana Flores. Greta Hondorp, Anna Loeprich and Tessa Rindfliesch played aggressive defense. Cora Mielke and Alyssa Haveman were strong in the post. The Dux final game will be Monday at Grand Haven.
The 8th grade team took on a scrappy Cityside squad and come home with the victory. Leading scorers for the Dux were Lindy Gulker, Kara Bartels, Marissa Ybarra, Kenzie Spitters, and Ally Yonker. Playing with tremendous energy on the defensive end were Reese Geurink, Abby RIdlington, Karli VandenBerg, and Katrlin Leva. The Dux are in action again as they travel to Grand Haven on Monday, March 11.
