Girls 7/8 Creekside Basketball Splits with Pinewood Middle School

The 7th grade girls basketball team earn their first victory of the season vs. Pinewood middle school. Leading scores were Kendyl Chupailo, Alexa Brott, Desi Kuyers, Emily Overway, Rylee Smith and Kayla Wyrick. The Dux played great defense and rebounded the ball well. The team will be back in action on Monday vs Riley Street Middle School.
The 8th grade team took on a scrappy East Kentwood Pinewood team but came up short in the end. Leading scorers for the Dux were Kara Bartels, Lindy Gulker, Marissa Ybarra, and Ally Yonker. At the defensive end, Kenzie Spitters, Izzy Cifuentes, and Karli VandenBerg played with tremendous energy. The Dux are in action again at home on Monday, Feb 18 as they take on Hudsonville RIley.
