EAST KENTWOOD HIGH SCHOOL: 8
The JV girls water polo team defeated East Kentwood by a score of 14-8 on Tuesday night. The team started a little slow coming out of spring break, but were able to score four unanswered goals in the second quarter to establish a firm lead. While challenged by Falcon run in the third quarter, which included a defensive posession without their goalie, the team played great team defense and ended the game on a 11-4 run.
Kelsy Toth and Rylee Fowler led all scorers with five and four goals respectively. Rylee and Annika DeYoung also had two assists each. Audrey O’Neill had a team-high two steals on the defensive end.
The team plays again this Thursday versus Forrest Hills at home. Go Chix! Go Dux!
