The JV water polo team played a great tournament this weekend going 3-1 at the Jenison Invite.  The team began with big wins against East Kentwood and Saline on Friday night.  Then, after an early loss to Rockford on Saturday morning, the team rebounded with another great win against Forest Hills.  

Kelsy Toth had a strong weekend overall and led the team in goals (16), assists (10), and steals (14).  Chelsea Engelsman also had played well on the offensive end, scoring thirteen total goals including seven in one game against East Kentwood.  Jovie Poest was one of the team's defensive leaders with six steals, two field blocks, and she was constantly helping with defensive breakdowns.  Madi Selles posted eighteen saves on the weekend with an impressive 0.80 save percentage in her first game as the team's primary goalie. 

The team has finished play until after spring break.  Their next game with be the Tuesday following the break in a rematch against East Kentwood.
