The Zeeland Women's Water Polo team co-hosted a 12-team regular season tournament with Hudsonville this weekend that featured 4 of the top six teams in Michigan and 3 top 10 teams in Illinois.  Zeeland finished the weekend goin 2-2 with wins over #6 West Ottawa (5-1) and Grand Haven (7-1) and losses to #3 Fenwick (Illinois, 9-2) and #1 Stevenson (Illinois, 16-1).

Jenna Schrotenboer led Zeeland with 5 goals, Madi Duquette and Peyton Elenbaas each added 4 and Katie Agar and Ashley Ketchum both chipped in 1.  Katie Agar led the team with 3 assists.  Madi Duquette was the team leader with 9 steals with Katie Agar close behind with 8.  Peyton Elenbaas led with 3 Field Blocks. In goal, Morgan Beers made 40 total saves.

"We have been battling the injury bug a bit as of late and the girls really stepped up to play out of position and come together as a team.  While the Stevenson game was rough on the scoreboard, we learned a lot about ourselves and that transitioned positively into the Grand Haven game."  Coach Dave Vruggink
