Rockford, Mich - The #4 Zeeland Women's Water Polo team traveled to Rocford to take on the #3 Rams and fell 9-5. In a game of streaks, Zeeland fell on the wrong side of the big run by Rockford in the 2nd and 3rd. Zeeland started out with a 2 goal lead before Rockford score 7 unanswered. Zeeland scrapped their way back into the game with 3 more before allowing the last 2 for the Rams while trying to push the Offense.

Sarah Houtman had a big game with 3 goals and an assist. Rylee Leestma and Madi Duquette each scored once. Duquette led the team with 2 assists. Rylie Toth had 6 steals and Katie Agar made 4 steals. Morgan Beers made 6 saves in goal.

"We started fast and then our offense disappeared for 2 quarters. I was really happy with how they rebounded in the 4th and started moving and taking shots again." Coach Dave Vruggink

Next up, the team takes on #2 Grandville at home on Wednesday.
