Last night, the Dux defense was tested early and often by a fast and talented Holland Christian team in a losing effort, 5-1. Early on, the Dux held their own, generating chances offensively, and keeping the Maroons off the scoreboard. Landon Mosbauer, Brandon Taylor, Vance Murray and Jackson Briones held the Maroons at bay for much of the first half, with Jacob Schultz making several phenomenal saves in net.
The lone goal for the Dux came from a Micah Henry tap in after Trigve Elkins got in behind the Maroon defense on the left side before crossing the ball back across the goal. The Dux are 1-1-1 on the year and return to action next week.
