WEST OTTAWA WHITE: 6
The 8th grade boys soccer team lost their first game of the season last night to West Ottawa, 3-6. The Dux were tied 2-2 at halftime, but conceded 4 straight goals in the second half before adding a goal for themselves late in the game. Sammy Salas scored all 3 goals for the Dux, with assists from Joey DeWeerd, Josh Overzet and Andrew Edwards. Great hold up play by Diego Mendoza and DeWeerd provided multiple scoring opportunities, but the ball didn't bounce their way. The Dux host Grandville on Thursday for another tough match.
