Dux improve to 2-0 in Conference defeating Holland with a score of 100-28. Ladies come up short losing to Holland with a score of 83-54. All four teams (Holland boys and girls and ZW boys and girls) competed great, bringing out the spirit of competition in multiple events leading to many person records (PRs).

On the guys side alone, there were a combined 104 Person Records set today between Holland and Zeeland West, meaning they ran, threw, or jumped their best today compared to any other meet in their high school career. Most impressive is when you have a junior or senior set a PR because of the longevity of their careers. On the guys side senior, Dylan Munter, had the stand-out day, winning both 110 meter (15.43s) and 300 hurdles (41.77) while also setting PRs. In addition he ran a blazing 52.6s 400 leg in the 4x400 relay. Also, congrats to junior Tanner Thompson and his PR throw of 44ft 11in. winning the Shot Put event.

Nearly just as impressive was the 77 combined PR’s for the Holland and ZW ladies. For the Dux, senior Ana Dekruyter’s 2nd place finish and PR in the 3200m (12:07) was most notable.

The Dux will be home against Hamilton on Thursday.
