The Zeeland West Boys opened the 2019 season indoors competing against some of West Michigan's best at the GVSU Laker Challenge. This 2019 team is filled with a variety of experience and new faces. Senior Dylan Muntter showcased his experience with a 4th place finish in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.71. Although coming just short of the medal position (top 8), first time runner, Evan Eding, made it to the finals and placed 10th with a time  of 7.3.

In the 800m Senior Matt Converse finished 5th overall with a time of 2:03.96, followed shortly by teammate Will Kraft with a 8th place finish of 2:04.96.

Another great duo took place off the track on the pole vault. Sophomore's Ethan You and Ruben Pung cleared 12'06" to end up with a 3rd and 4th place finish.

The Dux had not only had individual, but also team highlights. The Dux 4x300m ran away from the field with a commanding 1st place finish with a time of 2:29.21. Abel Boetsma, Ethan Brooks, Evan Eding, and Ben Brooks teamed together for the relay team.

The Dux hope to keep the momentum going and also keep making progress as they compete against Grand Haven next Monday.
