A short handed Lady Dux Track and Field team defeated Holland by a score of 73-68 on Thursday evening. With many of the teams seniors attending the school's Academic Honors Night, the meet went down to the final event where the Lady Dux 4 x 4 team of Rose Dunlap, Marcy Creevy, Raina Raval, and Delaynie Ward won the event with a time of 4:40.85. 

Senior Julia Babinec led the way for the Lady Dux as she won three of the events she participated in, and finished second in another. Julia won the 100 hurdles (17.74). the 300 hurdles (52.49), and she had a winning leg on the 4 x 200 relay. Olivia Kraft also had a good day winning both the shot put (34'0.25") and discus (126'9"). 

Other event winners for the Lady Dux were Allie Williams in the high jump (4'8"), and Emily Tummel in the pole vault (8'0"). The team of Julia Babinec, Delaynie Ward, Shanna Han, and Tara Achterhof won the 4 x 200 relay with a time of 1:56.42, and the 4 x 800 relay team of Brinley Schenk, Olivia Weenum, Emilie Wilson, and Paige Heckel won the 4 x 800 with a time of 10:41.15. 

The win moves the Lady Dux to 2-0 in the OK Green. The ladies will compete on Saturday at the Grand Rapids Catholic Central Cougar Invite.
