Zeeland West boys finish 1st, and girls 4th overall in field of 12 teams at Allendale Invite.

Ethan Senti runs away from the field again to finish as meet champion with a time of 15:38, lowering his previous school record by another 5 seconds. This is the 5th time Ethan has finished under 16 minutes this season.

Corban Hauch had his break-through race finishing 10th overall, with a time of 16:23. Also earning top 25 medals in the varsity race were teammates Mateo Arrendondo (15th, 16:49), Chase Holwerda (24th, 17:02).

The varsity girls had a phenomenal team race. All 7 Dux set season or lifetimes personal records (PR's). Most were nearly a minute faster than any other race this season. Emma Dykens (16th, 20:25), Avery Schenk (19th 20:28), and Samantha Wells (21st, 20:29), all earned top 25 medals.

The JV races were equally as exciting for both the girls and boys. Nearly every Dux set a new season or lifetime personal record. On the ladies side, Tessa Bruizeman continues to improve from race to race. She ran nearly 2 minutes faster today than any other of her races this season with a time of 23:52. Freshman Ella Smith did run 2 minutes faster than her previous PR with a time of 25:20.

On boys side, Freshman Golding had one of the biggest improvements for the guys finishing 13th, with a time of 18:00. Also earning top finishing medals in the JV race were, Jordan Brower (10th, 17:56), Mateo Quintanilla, 14th, 18:00), and Caleb Smith, (22nd, 18:13).

The Dux race in the last OK Green Jamboree Wednesday against Byron Center, and Zeeland East.
