The boys Dux hold strong to their lead in OK Green competition with wins tonight against Holland and Unity Christian. The Dux are now 4-0 in conference. Twelve of the Dux had their best race of the season tonight, with some of the strongest performances coming from the freshman. Fans in attendance would of noticed how the Dux continued to press and pass other fatigued racers in the 2nd half of the race. Ethan Senti was the top overall finisher with a time of 16:18.

The girls Dux perhaps had their best race of the season. Early on the race looked like both Holland and Unity Christian might get the best of Zeeland West. Both teams had several runners ahead of the Dux pack of 5. However, after about a mile into the race, the Dux turned up the heat. Holland and Unity still managed to put their top runner in front of the Dux pack, but Dux were able to place 5 in front of each team's 2nd place finisher. The most notable things spectators saw was how the Dux won little moments throughout the race. Any hill, sharp turn, or sprint to the finish, the Dux likely passed or separated themselves from their opponents during these race obstacles. Emma Dykens ended up being the lead Dux with a time of 21:51.

Both boys and girls team have 10 days off from racing to prepare for a competitive field of teams in the Allendale Invitational.
