ZW boys XC have a strong OK Jamboree opener with wins against both Holland Christian and Hamilton. Sr. Ethan Senti breaks his own school record again with a time of 15:43. Making the new record even more remarkable is Ridgepoint's course is considered one of the harder and hillier courses athletes face this year. Senti finished 1st overall nearly 40 seconds ahead of any other runners. 

Dux, Josh Ennen, Mateo Arredondo, Corban Hauch, Chase Holwerda, and Carson Holwerda filled 6 of the next 10 spots with times all under 18:00 minutes.

It wasn't hard to find highlights from any of the other 30 Dux runners either. There were a total of 10 Personal Records from the Dux runners. Perhaps one of the biggest improvements of the day came from freshman Eli Tillmann with nearly a 4 minute improvement on his previous race time. 

ZW girls depth not enough to overcome top Hamilton and Holland Christian runners in OK Jamboree opener. Eyes forward on bouncing back with a strong meet at WO Bredeweg Invite Saturday.

Working as a pack the top four Dux finished within 12 seconds of each other. Senior Avery Schenk and Jr. Emma Dykens finished 7th and 8th overall with a time of 21:50, and 21:52 respectively. The pieces are there for the Dux to continue to improve. Every girl on the team has teammates with similar ability to help push each other in practices and races.

Both boys and girls are heading to West Ottawa Saturday to race in the WO Bredeweg Invite where some of the state's best teams will be in attendance.
