The Freshman girls lost a heartbreaker on Tuesday night to Holland 23-24. The Dux were down 14-20 headed into the 4th quarter. Holland was able to keep that lead with just over 1:30 left in the game until the Dux made a furious comeback due to some full court pressure. The Freshman were down 2 with under 20 seconds remaining and Holland shooting a 1-and-1; Holland missed the front end and Rhianna Bruursema got the rebound and got fouled advancing the ball up the floor which sent her to the free throw line for a 1-and-1. With only 6 seconds remaining, Rhianna swished the first and swished the second, but the Dux were called for a lane violation and endued up losing by 1.
Leading the Dux in scoring was Rhianna Bruursema with 10 point (6 in the 4th). Cassidy Wiersma score 6 and Emily Brands chipped in 5.
