COOPERSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL: 13
The Freshman Girls defeated Coopersville 23-13 at home on Tuesday night. The Dux started the game out strong by going on a 6-0 run, but Coopersville was able to fight back and the Dux only took a 12-7 lead into halftime. In the second half the girls were able to stifle the visitors behind a great team defense to finish out the victory. The Dux were led in scoring by Rhianna Bruursema with 11 and Cassidy Wiersma chipped in 6.
The Freshman Girls are back in action on Thursday with a home game against Cedar Springs. Tip off starts at 5 PM.
