The girls JV soccer team lost a tough battle to Holland Christian 2-0 last night. The Dux, with only 13 girls available to play held HC scoreless for most of the game behind outstanding defense and keeper play from Nicole Funckes. The Maroons are a well coached and skilled team and still managed to find the back of the net twice.
From the bottom of our hearts, the girls want to thank coach Pett and the entire HC soccer program for their support and gesture before the game. The love and care displayed to us demonstrated a great deal of character but also put into perspective the balance between life and sport and the value of each.
