The Girls JV team opened their season by grinding out a tough away victory against the Muskegon Big Reds.
The Big Reds jumped out to a fast start and took an 18-14 lead into halftime. The Lady Dux turned things around in the 2nd half behind some great team defense, taking a 23-20 lead heading into the 4th Quarter. Muskegon was able to tie the game up midway through the 4th, but the Dux were able to close out a 31-27 victory.
The Lady Dux were led in scoring by Marissa Ybarra with 10 points. Isabella Cifuentes and Kenize Spitters both chipped in 6 points.
The Dux will take on Mona Shores, Thursday at 5:30 for their Home Opener!
