HOLLAND CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 44
The JV girls basketball team fell to Holland Christian on Thursday night by a score of 34-44.
Zeeland west had an an awesome first half. The girls came out with tons of energy and were flowing offensively, outscoring Holland Christian 15-12 in the first quarter. Both teams cooled down offensively in the second quarter, with West holding a slim 21-20 lead at half. The third quarter was a tough one for the dux. #20 for Holland Christian got hot offensively, scoring 11 in the quarter in route to 19-4 quarter in favor of HC, who held a 39-25 lead after three. West however did not give up!! The girls kept fighting and got as close as 9 points, although HC would ultimately hold on for the 10 point win.
Rylee Fowler led the team in scoring with 12 points, followed by Tia Martinez with 8.
