ZEELAND EAST HIGH SCHOOL: 2
Zeeland West won a thriller Tuesday night at Zeeland East defeating the Chix 3-2. The Dux stormed out to a 2-0 lead, but were unable to close it out in Game 3 or 4. In Game 5, the Dux showed a lot of heart rallying to a 15-12 win.
The Dux were led by Kara Hecht with 14 kills and Kaylee Bakker with 13 kills and 4 blocks. Megan Bader followed up a great week with 36 assists and Kylee Winn anchored the defense with 28 digs.
The Dux are now 4-2 in OK Green Conference play, just one game back of the conference leaders. Next up for the Dux is a road test at Unity Christian on Thursday.
