The Dux varsity soccer team resumed their suspended game with Mona Shores, coming away with a 0-4 loss to end the regular portion of the conference schedule. Trailing 0-1 with 8:08 left in the first half, the match resumed with a Dux corner kick. Mona Shores scored a goal before the break to make it 0-2, before adding a pair of insurance goals in the second half.

"Despite the loss, our team responded well and played with great energy, enthusiasm and intentionality. We possessed much better tonight and were stronger in the midfield tonight. Untimely turnovers that led to quick counter attacks hurt us tonight and were the difference in an otherwise close match. Credit to Mona Shores  for capitalizing on their chances - they are a dangerous attacking team and deserved to win the #1 seed for the conference tournament. Although the end result may be a bit disappointing, we made positive progress tonight and made some giant leaps forward as a team. I am really excited about where we are at this point in the season. The best is yet to come."

The Dux fall to 6-2-2 on the season. They travel to Wayland for a non-conference match tomorrow.
