The Dux varsity soccer team cruised to an 8-0 victory over Wyoming on Thursday night. Marissa Ybarra had a hat trick, Abby Winn had 2 goals and 2 assists, while Brooklyn Geerlings, Amely Molina, and Kayla Bosch tallied a goal each. Amarra Blattner had 3 assists, and Alayna Ruch had 2. Grace Caywood and Samarah Arendsen combined for the shutout, facing 0 shots on goal.
"Total team effort tonight, where everyone contributed to tonight's win. It was really encouraging to see our players keep the energy on the field throughout the match, regardless of who was on the field. We were able to play around with our lineup a bit, trying different player combinations providing many of our players valuable game experience at the varsity level which will benefit everyone moving forward."
The Dux improve to 4-1-1 on the season (3-0-1 in the OK Green). The travel to Grand Rapids Union on Tuesday next week.
