The Dux varsity soccer team scored two goals in the first half to secure the OK Green conference game at Holland, 2-0. Zoe Grant opened the scoring off of a nice pass from Anna Miller. Abby Winn intercepted an errant pass in the midfield and weaved around four defenders before blasting a shot past the Holland keeper.

The Dux defense comfortably handled the Holland attack, limiting Holland to very few goal scoring opportunities. Grace Caywood earned the shutout between the pipes.

"We came out strong in the first half and really pressed Holland defensively. We did a great job throughout the game defensively of delaying and preventing their counter-attack. Offensively, we had much better movement and decision-making both on and off the ball tonight, which led to good spells of possession and multiple quality scoring opportunities. Credit goes to their keeper who played well tonight to keep the score close."
