After a sluggish and lethargic start, the Dux varsity soccer team exploded for 8 goals in 25 minutes, ending their match at halftime with Muskegon to wrap up regular season play in the OK Green Conference. Aaliyah Ybarra led the Dux with 4 goals. Abby Winn, Lauren Broersma, Izzy Schoenberg (PK) and Leanne Wyrick also scored for the Dux. Keke Segura, Abby Gruppen, Amely Molina, Zoe Grant, Tia Martinez and Anna Miller each had an assist. Grace Caywood and Megan Drost earned the shutout between the pipes. Muskegon only garnered one shot in the game, as the Dux defense was solid throughout the match.
The Dux open Conference Tournament play on Tuesday, when they host Grand Rapids Union.
