The Dux varsity soccer team lost a hard fought battle against St. Joseph Friday night, 0-2. In an evenly matched and physical contest, the Lady Bears scored off of a corner kick midway through the second half, and added an insurance goal with about 10 mi utes to go.
The Dux defense was stout and organized, and Megan Drost made 14 saves in net.
"Proud of our discipline defensively tonight. St. Joe is an experienced and technically sound team, that plays a style similar to ours. Offensively, we moved the ball well and found space in behind their back line, but both defenses played well tonight."
Th Dux fall to 2-2-2 on the season.
