The Dux varsity soccer team didn't take long to wreak havoc on Wyoming in OK Green action Thursday night. Aaliyah Ybarra opened the scoring less than 5 minutes into the game off of a nifty give and go with Izzy Schoenberg. Schoenberg added a second assist after gathering a ball near the top of the box and slotting a clever pass to a wide open Alayna Ruch, making it 2-0. Abby Winn scored the next 3 goals for the Dux, giving them a 5-0 lead with 20 minutes to play in the first half. Winn scored her first after intercepting an errant pass by the wolves, and driving towards the center of the field before firing a shot into the corner. Amely Molina's clever turn and slotted ball between two defenders made Winn's second goal look easy. Winn's third goal came off of a pass from Aaliyah Ybarra from the left side, as Ybarra beat her defender and drove to the near post.

Anna Miller scored the last 3 goals for the Dux, ending the game at halftime. Miller's first goal came off of a rebound from a rocket of a shot by Amely Molina. The keeper made the initial save, but Miller found herself in front of an open net and buried it. Izzy Schoenberg (4 assists on the night) assisted on Miller's final 2 goals of the night, 

Megan Drost earned her first shutout of her career, and did not have to make any saves. The Dux defense was stout, and the midfield controlled the center of the field, generating lots of quality chances for goals.

"We found the back of the net tonight. We have come really close the last couple of matches, it was exciting to have our girls find success tonight. Before the game, we talked about finishing our chances and we were able to do that tonight. Our movement on and off the ball continues to improve. Great win for us tonight, very proud of our team's effort and attention to detail."

The Dux are 1-0-1 in the OK Green, and 2-1-2 on the season. They host St. Joseph on Friday night for a non-conference match-up.
