In the first of three meetings, the Dux girls varsity soccer team tied the Chix 1-1. Sam Hecht (SR) got the Dux off to a fast start, scoring the lone goal less than 5 minutes into the match. Abby Winn (FR) slipped a ball between two Chix defenders to Hecht, who turned to her left and fired a rocket of a shot off the near post and into the back of the net. The lead did not last long, as the Chix equalized less than 10 minutes later.
Despite a back and forth game, neither team could capitalize on their chances, and both defenses held tough for the 1-1 draw.
