The Dux varsity soccer team dropped a hard fought match to Byron Center, 0-2. Byron Center scored a goal in each half - a PK in the first half, and a breakaway in the second half. Both teams traded chances throughout the game, but the Dux simply could not find the back of the net. "Proud of the effort and energy tonight despite the loss. We continue to improve and make adjustments, generated quality chances and defended well. They capitalized on their opportunities, we did not." The Dux drop to 5-2-1 on the season (2-2-1 in the OK Green). They return to non-conference action on Friday as they host Calvin Christian. Taylor Twork had another solid outing in net for the Dux, turning away 7 shots and making 3 really solid saves to keep the Dux in the game.
