UNION HIGH SCHOOL: 42
It was Senior Night for Zeeland West and the Dux defeated Union 63-42. The Dux got off to a fast start in the opening quarter jumping out to a 12-2 lead with just under 4 minutes left in the quarter, but the Dux were unable to get anything else going after that and went into the 2nd quarter with a 12-6 lead. Zeeland West turned up the pressure on defense to force multiple turnovers and got some easy transition points in the 2nd. They held Union to only 3 points in the quarter and went into halftime leading 31-9. Union turned it around offensively in the 2nd half, but the Dux offense was able to maintain it's effectiveness the rest of the way to secure the victory.
Jordyn Klaasen led the Dux in scoring with 14 points. Tia Martinez also had a strong game with 13. Ally Yonker and Kara Bartels both had 10 and Abby Winn chipped in 8.
