Zeeland West Girls Basketball lost a close one to Reeths Puffer 49-55.
The Dux came out with sparks on the offensive end from Marcy Creevy and Aaliyah Ybarra. It was mostly a defensive battle in the first half ending with the Dux leading at halftime 17-16.
RP came out with an aggressive 3rd quarter but the Dux answered right back. Each team scoring 20 in the 3rd quarter alone.
It came down to the last couple minutes but unfortunately the Dux were unable to hold onto the lead. Reeths Puffer was tough from the FT line and Dux were unable come down with some key rebounds.
Overall the Dux played really well as a team and had players like Tia Martinez, Maddie Settlemeyre and Rhi Bruursema really step up and play big on the boards tonight.
The Dux were led by Marcy Creevy with 18pts and Aaliyah Ybarra 16pts.
