The Lady Dux held on late to beat Unity Christian 42-40.  The Dux started out strong offensively with Kaylee Bakker leading the way with 10 points in just the 1st quarter.  Lucy Bouvier, Marcy Creevy and Andrea Valdes helped knock down baskets in the 2nd quarter to keep the momentum going.  

The 3rd quarter was a bit quiet until Aaliyah Ybarra caught one in the corner and knocked down a 3.  Bouvier and Bakker also added 2 a piece in the 3rd.

It all led to an all out battle in the 4th quarter with Unity closing the gap, the Dux didn’t have an answer inside and allow too easy of buckets.  The momentum was in the Home teams favor but tough 4th quarter free throws were hit by Aaliyah Ybarra 2/2, Kaylee Bakker 3/4 and Lucy Bouvier hit all 4 of her free throws down the home stretch.  

Unity had a chance to tie it up with only seconds left but some tough pressure from Bouvier and Creevy didn’t allow a quality shot to get off and the Dux locked down the win.  Great team win!
