Dux came out with great intensity in their win Wednesday night against Covenant Christian 47-41.  The Dux were able to put pressure on CC early in different trapping situations, getting 12 steals as a team in the 1st Quarter alone.  

Covenant went on a run coming out of half time cutting the lead down but the Dux did a good job of withstanding the run.  Dux maintained the lead going into the 4th thanks to a clutch 3 by Marcy Creevy and Lucy Bouvier’s and one.  

The Dux were able to clench the lead with the help of Kaylee Bakker who had 11 of her 23 points in a tough 4th quarter stand off.  Bakker had a very complete game  ending with 13 boards, 5 steals and 3 blocks.

A strong defensive front was led by Lucy Bouvier who led the team with 6 steals, also adding 11points.  Raegina Pung did a great job getting into the passing lanes also adding 4 steals to the Dux total of 24 steals.  

The Dux showed a lot of growth in how they handled the ball at the end and were able to close out the game.  It was a great team win tonight!
