The Lady Dux took home their first win of the season against Coopersville 41-27.  The Dux kicked off the game with great defensive stops and aggressive offense, leading 15-6 after the 1st quarter.   Tally Martinez and Marcy Creevy were a big part of the offensive charge that sparked the Dux early on, each with a quick 5 points a piece.  

Coopersville battled back in the 2nd quarter with the Dux allowing too much in transition.   Dux only led by 4 heading into halftime.  Kaylee Bakker did a good job of taking over in the beginning of the second half with a mixture tough finishes around the rim and going 3-4 from the line in the 3rd quarter.  

The Dux defense held solid in the 4th quarter and were able to hold onto the lead the entire second half.  Great efforts defensively were led by Lucy Bouiver, Martinez, Creevy and Bakker.  Aaliyah Ybarra did a great job making decisions and taking care of the ball under pressure at the end of the game.  

The Dux were led offensively by Bakker with 14points, 5 blocks and 9 rebounds.  Marcy Creevy did a great job on the boards as well pulling down 8 rebounds. Creevy & Martinez both finished with 8points.  Bouvier was tough in the passing lane leading to a team high 4 steals.  

The Dux enjoyed the great team win and will be back in action in a week against Kellogsville.
