The freshman boys won at West Ottawa Friday night to open their season with a close, thrilling game. The teams traded leads throughout the second half. Keaton Hendricks led the Dux with 10 points and had a clutch layup with :30 remaining to put the Dux up 4 points. Jake Lencioni (8 points), Jakob McLaren (6 points), Lincoln Jipping (5 points), and Will Skaggs (4 points) led the Dux on the offensive side of the ball. The Dux defense was dominant throughout the game. Bench energy was constant and helped motivate the team near the finale.
