The boys freshman team kicked off their season on Friday night with a win against Reeths Puffer. After an up and down first quater the Dux lead by a point 16-15. The Dux amped up the defense and gave up a total of 13 points combined in the 2nd and 3rd quarter while adding 24 to their total. Reeths Puffer made a last final push in their final quarter of play by adding 11 points from increasing the pressure on defense, but the Dux weathered the storm and finished the game with a win. The dux were lead by Kylan Arnold and Drew Weenum with 12 and 10 points respectively. Cade Overweg and Josh Kroll also chipped in with 7 and 6 a piece. Cooper Wolters did an excellent job matching up with Puffers post to slow his scoring and did a nice job on the boards. The Dux will play on the road this Tuesday and Thursday against Coopersville and Mona Shores.
