Boys Freshman West Baseball takes 2 from Grand Haven

GRAND HAVEN HIGH SCHOOL: 0
The West freshmen exploded for 12 runs in the first inning against Grand Haven on their way to a 15-0 three inning stoppage. Adam Leeuw and Carter Dejonge both crossed the plate 3 times with DeJonge singling and doubling. Other Dux picking up nice hits for West were Cam Schuessler, Logan Visser, Jake Kender, Cory Holtrust, and Noah Vandenbosch. VandenBosch also was stellar on defense. Eli Grewell crossed the plate for West as well. Ethan Bosch was tremendous, throwing a one hitter for the Dux.
In game 2 West squeaked out a 3-2 win over the Bucs. Cam Schuessler threw a complete game gem for West. Logan Visser, Brett Yonker, and Ethan Bosch all scored for West. Dyson Zamora and Owen Quillan teamed up at 2nd to stop several Grand Haven threats, while John Hodgson and Jackson Larkin did the same at third and left field respectively.
