The boys JV Dux were on he road at Mona Shores Tuesday and fell to the Sailors by 9, 47-56. The Sailors got off to a fast start in the first quarter were up 18-6 but the Dux fought back in the last 3 min of the quarter and got it to 20-12 at the break. The Dux kept things rolling in the second and outscored the Sailors 15-10 and trailed by 3 at halftime. The 3rd quarter the dux scored early and brought the game to a 1 point game. Neither team scored for the next few min of play but the Sailors finished the last 5 min of play going on a big run outscoring the Dux on a run 3 to 15 and were trailing 32-49. The Dux brought the energy back in the fourth and outscored the sailors 15-7 by ramping up the pressure with a press and at one point cutting the lead to 5 points. The Dux were lead by Orion Yant with 21, Trey Sloothak with 10. Brady Westfield and Jacob Eckert chipped in 7 and 6 as well. The Dux will continue play Friday night at Reeths Puffer.
