Eight different members of the Dux JV team scored in a 52-29 victory over Holland on Saturday, pushing the team's record to 11-3 (9-3) on the year.

"This was a true team win," Coach Ray said. "We got contributions from all ten of our guys, which stemmed from our unselfish play on both ends."

The team was sparked by its strong defensive effort.

"Our guys really bought into playing team defense today," Coach Ray said. "Our communication was much stronger than it had been in the past two games. Deklen Klamt (2023) played his best defensive game of the year, and we expect that from him moving forward. Chase Holwerda (2023) did an excellent job communicating on the perimeter. When we have guys choose to do the little things on defense, good things happen for us."

Myles Steffen (2024) led the team with 16 points. Klamt (2023) had 10 points, while Ethan Haskill (2023) came off the bench for four hard-earned points, and David Rockel (2023) scored five points.

The Dux will take on their cross-path rival on Tuesday, taking on Zeeland East at 5:30pm at their gym. Freshmen will start at 4pm, with Varsity to follow the JV at 7pm.
