The JV Dux finished off their conference slate on Tuesday night, defeating the Byron Center Bulldogs by a score of 42-20. Ten different Dux players scored in the victory, pushing their record to 15-3 (11-1). With the victory, the Dux secured the JV conference title. 

"We lost our first game of the conference season, and since then, the guys have been on a mission to prove what kind of team we can be," Coach Ray said. "I just can't say enough how proud I am of the guys for buying in to the Zeeland West system."

Isaac Hondorp ('22) came off the bench to score five points, notching his season-high. Overall, the bench scored 17 of the team's 42 points.

"We have had excellent bench support all season," Coach Ray said. "They have stayed engaged in practice, and they have been ready to go when their number has been called."

The Dux have two games remaining, with Grand Haven coming to the Swamp on Thursday, February 27. The final game of the season will be Tuesday, March 3 at home against Reeths-Puffer. 

"Our whole team is thankful we have two games left," Coach Ray said. "I'm sure our players feel the same way I do -- I am not looking forward to the end of the season."
