After heading to the locker room at halftime with a 23-21 lead, the JV Dux made some adjustments and discovered some newfound energy for the second half, ultimately defeating Hamilton 54-38. The win moved the team to 13-3 (9-1) on the season.

”At this point in the season, you are going to get every team’s best shot,” Coach Ray said. “In the first half, Hamilton did some things that put us on our heels. At halftime, we challenged the guys to find the needed energy, make the adjustments, and execute on our game plan. The credit goes to our guys for answering the bell.”

Kylan Arnold (‘22) and Drew Weenum (‘22) led the way with 18 and 17 points respectively. Trevor Waller (‘23) returned from an ankle injury to score nine points off the bench. 

“It was great to have Trevor back tonight. He was confident and did an excellent job of finding gaps in the defense” Coach Ray said. “This was actually our first game all season where all 14 guys on the team are healthy and active at the same time. It is awesome to have everyone back for the final stretch.” 

The Dux will take on Unity Christian on Thursday, February 23. The JV hoop squad will tip off at approximately 6:30pm, right after the freshmen game.
