The JV Dux used an 18-8 first quarter on Friday night to hold off Allendale in a 46-33 non-conference victory. The win moves the team's record to 9-3 (5-1). 

"I am proud of the way we started off the game," Coach Ray said. "Our ball movement early got them out of their zone, and we were able to extend our lead going into halftime."

Drew Weenum ('22) and Kylan Arnold ('22) led the way with 16 points and 12 points respectively. They shot a combined 17-21 from the free throw stripe. 

"Our guards were able to penetrate, draw fouls, and make our opponents pay by hitting big free throws," Coach Ray said. 

Cade Overweg ('22) came off the bench to hit a couple 3-pointers, while Bergen Loeprich ('22), Mitch Middleton ('22), and Trevor Wallar ('23) all contributed four points apiece. 

The Dux will take on the Zeeland East Chix on Thursday, February 6 at Zeeland West. The game will tip off at approximately 6:30pm, following the freshmen game.
