The JV Dux spread the wealth on their way to a home win against Holland, 51-38, improving to 2-1 in conference play. It was the second straight game where nine different players scored. 

"Our team was really moving the ball well, and that led to high-quality looks. Luckily, our shots were falling tonight," Coach Ray said. "We have a naturally unselfish group which can lead to balanced scoring."

The Dux came out in the first half playing with their hair on fire. They went into halftime up 25-7. 

"We played the West Way in the first half," Coach Ray said. "In the second half, we fought some slippage and a lackadaisical approach. Holland amped up their pressure and intensity, and that led to them scoring 31 points in the half. I need to do a better job of holding our guys accountable for 32 minutes."

Drew Weenum ('22) led the charge with 12 points. Bergen Loeprich ('22) scored nine, Trevor Wallar ('23) scored seven, Kylan Arnold ('22) had six, and Mitch Middleton ('22) contributed two. Off the bench, Brendan Gabrion ('22) scored a season-high six points, Josh Kroll ('22) scored five, and Zach Schwartz ('22) and Toby Reinardy ('22) each scored a bucket.

The Dux will continue conference play on Tuesday, January 21 when Hamilton visits Zeeland West.
