The JV Dux picked up the victory against the Holland Dutch JV in amazing fashion. Trailing the entire game, and by as much as 12 points, the Dux slowly chipped away at the lead throughout the second half. On the final play, down two points, Terick DeJonge corralled the rebound off of a missed free throw and pushed the ball in transition. He penetrated the lane, drawing multiple defenders, and then kicked the ball to Walter Bouvier in the corner, who knocked down the highly contested three for the win at the buzzer, pushing the Dux to a 50-49 win. It was their first lead of the entire game. "Frankly, I thought our first half was the worst half that we played all season. We did not come out with a fire, signaling that our mental strength was not where it needed to be," Coach Ray said. "However, I could not be more proud of the way we fought back in the second half. Every single guy believed that we could win, and that 'never-say-die' attitude propelled us to victory." Bouvier's game-winning three gave him 9 points on the night. Terick DeJonge led the team with 12 points, all coming in the second half. "I was really impressed with how Terick responded in the second half," Coach Ray said. "I challenged him to push himself in the second half, and he led us. He really showed what he is capable of out there." Joe Steele scored 11 points, Nick Powers scored 8, and both Avery Alderink and Brenden Williams had 5 points, rounding out a balanced offensive attack.
