The Dux lost another close one against Holland Christian on Thursday, Jan. 10. In what was a back-and-forth game, the Dux just could not get a couple plays to go their way in the final minutes. Led by Terick DeJonge, who had 23 points, the Dux played tough defense, forcing Holland Christian to make some big plays. "I thought our defensive intensity and pressure was leaps and bounds better than it was on Tuesday night against Zeeland East," Coach Ray said. "We just had a couple mental slips that got us out of position, and Holland Christian made us pay. Our hats go off to them." Nick Powers played tough post defense and rebounded well, and Jake Kender played tough man-to-man defense as well. The Dux are looking to get off the slide next Tuesday, Jan. 15 at Holland High School.
