Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 9-1 loss to Zeeland East JV on Tuesday.  Zeeland East JV took the lead in the first inning.

The Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Zeeland East JV, giving up nine runs.

Zeeland East JV got things started in the first inning.  An error scored one run for Zeeland East JV.

Zeeland East JV scored eight runs in the second inning.  Zeeland East JV big bats were led by Nienhuis, Nesbit,  Drooger, Thome, Salas, and Baxter, all driving in runs in the inning.

Drooger led things off on the pitcher's mound for Zeeland East JV. The bulldog surrendered one run on two hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out six.

Cam Schader led things off on the mound for Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux. The right-hander surrendered eight runs on seven hits over one inning, striking out one.  Peyton Koetje threw two and a third innings in relief.

Blake Matthews and Lucas Smith each managed one hit to lead Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux.
