Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux stayed in it until the end, but Zeeland East JV pulled away late in a 12-4 victory on Tuesday.  The game was tied at three with Zeeland East JV batting in the bottom of the fourth when Salas singled on the first pitch of the at-bat, scoring one run.

The Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Zeeland East JV, giving up 12 runs.

Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux got things started in the first inning.  Cam Schader grounded out, scoring two runs.

In the bottom of the third inning, Zeeland East JV tied things up at three when Kuzma grounded out, scoring one run.

Zeeland East JV pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth Windeler singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs and an error scored one run for Zeeland East JV.

Baxter was on the mound for Zeeland East JV. The ace lasted two innings, allowing three hits and three runs while striking out three.

Lucas Smith was on the hill for Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux. The pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits and striking out six.  Carson Nash threw two innings out of the bullpen.

Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux totaled nine hits.  Noah VanderVelde and Schader all managed multiple hits for Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux.  Schader and VanderVelde each collected two hits to lead Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux.  Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. VanderVelde led the way with three.
