Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux defeated Grand Haven Buccaneers  JV 5-0 on Tuesday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.

Lucas Smith was credited with the victory for Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux. The right-hander surrendered zero runs on four hits over six and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking zero.  Carson Nash threw one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Nash recorded the last out to earn the save for Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux.

Jacob Lynn took the loss for Grand Haven Buccaneers  JV. The right-hander lasted two innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out three and walking one.

Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux totaled ten hits.  Smith, Cam Schader, and Jace Pyper all had multiple hits for Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux.  Smith went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Zeeland West Junior Varsity Dux in hits.
